I first took to red wine back in the.early 1990's when I was living down in Salisbury and we used to buy this stuff by the case load from a small wine wholesaler. It's prime redeeming feature is its still the only red wine I have ever tasted that needs zero breathing time. It's a mellow, smooth red that is instantly drinkable from the moment it's opened and its also one of the few reds that doesn't give me a blinding headache if I have a glass or two too many. Getting harder and harder to source in supermarkets - not even all Asda stores stock it. I'm no wine buff but its my second favourite red behind a good quality Rioja. Not met a single person who has had a sip of this and failed to go "Mmmmmmm"
