Our superb new gold medal winning Claret from Château du Taillan in the Haut Medoc from the great 2009 vintage. The vines were first planted by the Knights Templar in the Middle Ages on this exceptional Cru Bourgeois property owned by the Cruze family for the last 5 generations. The wine is predominantly Merlot and is drinking really well already. This is a beautifully made wine to follow for this and subsequent vintages, providing of course that the price remains as attractive as it currently is.
“This low-priced, very good wine has copious quantities of red and black fruits along with some notes of underbrush and forest floor in addition to excellent texture and length.” – Robert Parker
